Our planet is in danger. Plastic waste is clogging up our beaches, poisoning marine animals and releasing dangerous gases into the atmosphere. Deforestation is upsetting the delicate balance of nature, harming our wildlife and contributing to the fastest rate of extinction since the dinosaurs were wiped out. The burning of fossil fuels is causing sea levels to rise, ice caps to melt, and droughts to continue devastating the poorest countries.
Never has it been so important to get involved in Earth Day. An annual event held on April 22, Earth Day is a time to celebrate the natural environment. It’s a time to pay attention to the damaging effects human activities are having on our planet and, more importantly, to help find solutions to global challenges like climate change and plastic pollution.
