One of the biggest challenges that I face when traveling is having the inconvenience of lugging around a giant backpack. I thought it was a good idea to buy the largest one in the shop. After all, I have a lot of essential things that I need to bring with me. But, this wasn’t actually the reality and I found that I experienced problem after problem with it. Large bags are heavy and awkward to carry and they’re difficult to travel with on the bus, train, or plane. And then I found the solution, a Carry-on Backpack. This article describes the how this backpack changed the way I view travelling.
A Carry-On Backpack is Easy to Travel with:
Anyone who travels knows how important this is. If you always face difficulties when you fly and find that you’re unable to store the bag in the cabin, you have to pay extra fees. It also becomes a problem when you need to store your bag in the luggage hold of a bus. In some countries, you either need to get off and check at every stop or risk it going missing. A small, compact backpack on the other hand always fits in the overhead locker on a plane and can also sit nicely under your feet in the bus.
The Backpack has Enough Space, But Not too Much Space:
When I first began to travel more often, I found that I’d always bring too much stuff. It’s easy to pack extra clothes and that spare pair of shoes if you have space. But I only really used about 50% of the things I travel with and the rest just adds bulk and weight. When I first started using my carry-on backpack, I was forced to be more minimalistic about what I bring. This turned out to be a great advantage. And it has helped me understand what I really do and don’t need to bring with me when I travel. You’re certain to experience this too, which you’ll thank yourself for later.
Your Belongings are Safer:
The final advantage is that I’m confident my possessions are safe. A normal bag has lots of zips and pockets that thieves can easily get their sticky little fingers inside. This is especially the case if you’re new in a place and are clearly lost. Or maybe you’re hanging around at the bus or train station in the late evening waiting for one to arrive. The ‘backpackers look’ attracts dodgy people from a mile away. With the carry-on backpack, not only is it less obvious that you’re a tourist, but it’s also more difficult for people to get their hands inside. And if you still don’t feel secure, it’s easy to attach a small lock onto the zippers.
The Takeaway Message:
Travelling is a fun and rewarding experience that’s made even better with a comfortable and convenient backpack. Having something that’s compact, convenient, and easy to carry whilst at the same time being safe makes any traveller’s life easier. This is why I can fully recommend you consider getting a carry-on backpack for your next adventure.
